The workshop will cover the basics of making a silver-gelatin emulsion and you’ll get to brew up a batch of ISO 8 emulsion from scratch on the day, “Bromochloride Boris”. We’ll coat and shoot a mix of 6x9cm glass plates in Box Brownies and 4 × 5 plates in view cameras, sending you out into the world to peek at it 1890′s style.

All cameras and equipment are provided, as well as a detailed technical handout to get you started at home.

Price includes all equipment and materials, as well as tea, coffee, biscuits and a hearty lunch.
