Workshop: Ambrotypes taught by Andrew Dearman

The Analogue Laboratory. Adelaide
24 May 2014

The wet plate collodion process (tintypes and ambrotypes) remains one of the most popular workshops offered at The Analogue Laboratory – and it’s not really any surprise why, there’s so much magic and alchemy rolled up in the process – once you’ve seen it happen it’s more than a little bit addictive.

This workshop will cover all the practical ins and outs of making ambrotypes on clear glass, and also a primer on constructing your own large format camera. That’s a really big day! To make sure you don’t need to shift your focus from all that great information we will keep you well supplies with tea, coffee, biscuits and other snacks, as well as a possibly too big lunch.
